What Diabetes Mellitus is?
“Diabetes Mellitus is normally the disorder in metabolic system with excessively high glucose level (hyperglycemia) as the administrating factor of it. Mellitus is also known as Juvenile Diabetes”.
When the pancreas produces no or little insulin, Type1 Diabetes suddenly develops and affects people under 30years of age. The average age of developing this disease is about 12to 15years. Type1 Diabetes is often observed in only 5% cases of diabetes.
Type2 Diabetes Mellitus is also famous as adult-onset-diabetes. During this ailment,
insulin production by pancreas is slightly reduced and the cells seem not to be responding to the insulin efficiency. This state is known as insulin resistance. The speed of Type2 Diabetes is gradual and mostly affects overweight people over 40.
People with Type2 diabetes are at risk of another life-threatening stage known as Hyperosmolar Nonketotic condition, characterized by blood sugar at extreme level. This ailment usually occurs in old age people with some other serious ailments. DKA or the Hypersomolar stage can be the initiating indicator of anyone suffering from diabetes.
